Donna Vermeer – Co-Founder/Writer/Director
Donna is an artist and filmmaker who thrives in collaborative environments where many different
ideas and energies are engaged. After studying theater arts at Carnegie Mellon University she spent
the next two decades working collaboratively with some of the world's most talented cinematographers and writers on environmental documentaries. She has received numerous grants, including a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation media grant in partnership with the World Bank and World Resources Institute. One of her proudest moments was the time she spent with the late Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Mathaai filming the early Greenbelt movement in Tanzania.
Billy Gerard Frank – Co-Founder/Writer/Director
Billy is a filmmaker and video artist, born on a small fishing island in the West Indies, where his philosophy and passion for ecology and local community were fostered at early age. Billy Gerard grew up in London where he studied multimedia and art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London and was a member of several film and video collectives. His multimedia work has been exhibited in New York, London, Sydney and the Caribbean and is part of the collection at the National Academy Museum of New York. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Leandro Castelao – Designer
Leandro studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires and taught typography design for 10 years as an associate professor. He has designed for Nike, The London and New York Times, The New Yorker, Credit Suisse, Penguin, Citi Bank, Scientific American, Delta, The Atlantic, DOE, HSBC, Wallpaper, and the UN’s COP15 Copenhagen Conference (the official poster). He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Roman Milisic – Writer/Creative Director
Roman Milisic is an artist, writer, and communications specialist whose work promotes innovation, deconstruction and connection. He writes for Monocle, Cisco, The New York Times, Harper Collins, Fuji Film, and Apple. He is a regular contributor to the New York Observer, The Guardian, The Age, Brill’s Content and Salon.com. He has written for Green Focus Films since 2009.
Lawrence Suda – Co-Founder/Executive
Larry holds a MBA in finance and management from The University of Michigan and sets the company’s overall strategic direction. His consultancy work spans thirty years with global Fortune 1000 companies and was an earlier developer of business simulations for Merck, NASA, HP, Accenture, EMC, Verizon, AT&T, Bank of America, Citibank, and GE.
Charles Gullung – Director of Photography
Charles has photographed and shot film on assignment around the world and extensively throughout the United States. Growing up in New Orleans gave Charles a taste for seeking authenticity, beauty and compassion for the fallible. He has shot for Nike, NASA, Vanguard, Proctor & Gamble, Getty, Apple, Timex, Children’s Cancer Society, Gerber, Mens Journal, Parents, Outside Magazine, Bicycling, and Conde Nast Traveler. His personal art photography has been shown in galleries and exhibits around the world. Charles began his career and travelled the globe as a documentary assistant cameraman with the late, award-winning photographer Mary Ellen Mark.
Cameron Clendaniel – Editor
Cameron's credits include the PBS television series Hudson Rising; One Break; Great Expectations; City of Water as well as the features Aristide and the Endless Revolution. His commercial work includes Ogilvy and Mather, Hertz, and Novartis. He has a BA in Film and Studio Art from Williams College.
Alejo Accini – Animator
Alejo is a visual creative with 10 years of experience in 2/D and 3D animation, composition, digital media and interactive installations for commercial brands and loves exploring new visual universes and making them come to life with animation. He has worked with the UN, Google, Siemens, Audi, Sky, LG, Gatorade, L’Oreal, Turner Broadcasting, Adweek and Drug Free America, as well as with agencies Dutch Uncle, Fractl, Puenzo Hnos, Punga, Simple Story Videos, and ReMade. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires.
